The Metabo GB 18 LTX BL Q I 18V Brushless Cordless Tapping Tool is German engineered and manufactured for fast and easy drilling and tapping to provide extreme power, safety, and extended runtime for the most demanding industrial applications. The tool features a selectable switch for either drilling mode or tapping mode. The patented thread tapping function senses push-pull force on the tap to automatically change the direction of rotation for interruption-free tapping or cleaning of threads. The Quick-Change chuck system offers tool-free chuck removal for fast changes between accessories. When removed, the spindle includes a magnetic 1/4" hex drive for more compact screwdriving applications. Two Quick-Change chucks are provided for tap sizes up to ½” threads. Metabo's 2nd generation BRUSHLESS Motor technology runs cooler and maximizes the energy transfer from the battery to the spindle, creating highest efficiency for longer motor life, maximum continuous power, and extended run time. The tool features a two-speed reversible transmission and variable speed trigger. Its slim design with rubber coated grip provides comfort and control during extended use. The integrated Anti-Kickback feature with gyroscopic sensors for maximum user safety works in all directions to instantly stop the tool if an accessory should bind, sounding an audible alarm. The tool features Precision Stop electronic controls that offer 10 different speed/torque settings for precise control in a wide range of applications, as well as drill mode for continuous power. Included with the electronics is an Overload Protection feature, as well as a selectable impulse mode for easy removal of damaged screws and spot-drilling on smooth surfaces.
