The Metabo WEPB 24-180 MVT, 7 In. Pro Series Brake Angle Grinder is German engineered and manufactured for maximum safety, productivity, and durability for extreme duty industrial cutting and grinding applications. For maximum safety Metabo’s patented mechanical disc brake system stops the accessory in 2.5 seconds or less after release of the switch, even during a power failure. The electronic safety clutch helps to prevent the likelihood of kickback by shutting down the motor if the disc stops unexpectedly. Additional safety features include a Non-locking Paddle switch, Restart protection in the case of power loss, and Soft Start which helps the user maintain control when turning the tool on as well as preventing breakers from being tripped. The powerful 15 Amp, 2,400 watt motor provides the fastest material removal in extreme cutting and grinding applications and includes overload protection to protect the motor in the harshest industrial environments. For optimal ergonomics the side handle can be mounted in 3 different positions and the rear handle can be turned in either direction 90° without the use of any tools, making it ideal for use with cut-off wheels and for left-handed users. The wheel guard can be adjusted without the use of tools. Includes Metabo VibraTech (MVT) handle which reduces vibration by up to 60%.
