Eliminating the carbon brushes, this BL™ brushless motor runs cooler and more efficiently for longer life. It has in-built LED light with an independent On/Off switch to illuminate the work area. Tool comes with a convenient one-touch 1/4 Inch hex chuck for quick bit change. It is fitted with rubberized soft grip for enhanced comfort on the job. Impact driver has Makita's Extreme Protection Technology (XPT™), a protective seal inside the tool. This technology increases tool life and operation in harsh conditions by channeling water and dust from key internal components. The Star Protection Computer Controls™ technology allows the Star Protection-equipped tool and battery to exchange data in real time and monitor conditions while in use to safeguard against overloading, over-discharging and overheating.
